Leather Sculpting with Serina Lee

Description

Let’s make a leather flower! Join us for a fun-filled class that allows a little creativity in your bag making. These leather flowers can be used as a bag charm, a broach, or placed on a magnet. The possibilities are endless!

In this class we will dye and sculpt a veg-tanned leather rose. You will learn how to cut and form each delicate petal. We will also create a pretty 3-D butterfly!

On day 1, we will focus on leather dye, paint and finishes that can be used for these fun charms. Each charm is the perfect size of 3” x 3”.

Day 2 will be crafting these beautiful charms, with each participants charm being its own unique creation.

A digital svg pattern will be included in the registration fee.

BONUS Zoom session! - Serina will share information on selecting leather dyes, paints and finishes.

 

Requirements- Beginner skill level.

About the Bag

What better way to make a statement with your handcrafted bags. I leather flower or butterfly charm! Each one is so unique, this can easily be a signature piece.
Learning to sculpt leather to make a flower or butterfly is not as hard as it looks! Join us in this workshop and Serina will get you started in crafting one of a kind flowers and butterflies!

About The Teacher

Serina Lee started her leather career slowly in 2009, doing a bit more each year. She is primarily self taught until she attended a few great workshops with top leather workers!! “I learned so many great tips and tricks from so many great people!”
Serina does primarily custom orders in her leather shop. Holsters, dice cups, bags, wallets, knife sheaths and so much more!
She is married to Larry of 36 years, has 3 adult children (with in-laws), and 8 beautiful grandchildren. She lives on their small ranch in Central Ca. For fun and relaxation Serina loves to spend time with grandkids, going to their sporting events, visiting family in other states, trail riding, loving on animals and woodworking!
