The Bag Makers Workshop

Workshop Requirements:

  • Skill level requirement: Intermediate 
  • Sewing machine required: Cylinder arm, flatbed, Janome HD9. or a domestic that can handle 4 layers of quilting cotton and 1 layer of Kraftex.
  • Must have experience with zippers, glue and DST
  • Instructions will include the cell phone add-on and strap. 
  • All supplies required as mentioned in the supplies list.

 

 Now, for a limited time only, you can purchase the videos from the Zoom workshop for the Classic Zip Around Wallet (CZAW) with cell phone add-on, featuring Sue Cheek of Maggy55. With your purchase, you will receive everything that was included in the workshop- the pattern, the prep video and access to the Facebook private group. This is where you will find everyone else that will be in the workshop. You can post questions, comments, share your work and even meet the designer herself. There will be instructional videos to help you prepare for this project posted in this private group. This is also where you will find all our vendors exclusive offers, just for you. And if you wish to watch or sew along with the live Zoom group, you can. In real time! It’s just like being there. The only thing that is different is you will not be able to interact with the live group. You will be able to ask questions during the live feed, but those questions may or may not be answered right away. And any questions you might have after the workshop is over, is always welcomed in the private Facebook group and will be answered as soon as possible.

You will have INDEFINITE access to the recordings on our private YouTube channel. The videos are labeled, and time stamped for your convenience. And you can even save them to your own playlist so you can find them easily, over and over again.

About The Teacher

Hi everyone! My name is Sue Cheek, and I am the owner and designer of both Maggy55 patterns, and Maggy55 finished handbags.

I have been sewing leather handbags for over 8 years, and have loved every aspect of it. I was a custom drapery designer for many years, and a lot of the design elements that I used in that industry, can be reflected in the details of my finished bags and patterns.
